China began easing restrictions in Hubei province, where the novel coronavirus is believed to have originated, as footage filmed in the town of Changyang, near Yichang City on Wednesday shows.
Travel restrictions still apply to Wuhan, the first epicentre of the pandemic, which will be on lockdown until April 8.
"My flower shop opened on March 19. Before that, I had to clean the store. And when a customer came, first we measured the customer's temperature, then scanned their health QR code to make sure they are healthy. My business is gradually recovering," said Li Yunjuan, a business owner.
Official reports suggest that over 60,000 people have recovered from the novel coronavirus in Hubei while 3,285 died. The government said no new cases were registered in the region on Tuesday.
