A small chapel dedicated to Saint Corona in a forest, near the Bavarian town of Sauerlach, has seen an uptick in visitors amid the coronavirus outbreak.
Footage from Saturday shows the chapel, which was built in 1687, as well as religious artefacts and visitors.
"I read it in the Sud Deutsche (newspaper) and I came here a little bit as part of a Catholic tradition because of the saints. Anyway and that's why I came to look at the St corona now. Unknown to me until now. But now, unfortunately, because of the disease, I have become fully aware of it (the saint), " explained a visitor outside the chapel.
Saint Corona is believed to have lived in Roman Syria in the second century, where she was executed for professing her Christian faith, which was illegal at the time.
According to John Hopkins University, there are currently 92,150 coronavirus cases in Germany, with over 1,300 people having subsequently died after contracting the virus, as of Saturday.
