SOT, Maha, Protester (Arabic): "We are on the streets for 60 days, and we will stay there even for one year and sixty days. Our demands must be fulfilled, and they know that we are right. And whoever has a right does not have a fear with him. And God is with us."

SOT, May, Protester (Arabic): "What happened this year in Lebanon will change all of our lives. We will never vote for them, our children, and all the future generations will not be satisfied with them. Sure, we will continue. We are used to their tricks, and we will not be afraid of them, so let them try something new.’"

Anti-government protesters stood firm outside Parliament, near Mohammad Al-Amin Mosque, in Beirut on Sunday, a day after a violent crackdown.
"We are on the streets for 60 days, and we will stay there even for one year and sixty days. Our demands must be fulfilled, and they know that we are right," said one of the protesters.
Saturday saw Lebanese security forces deploying tear gas and rubber bullets in an attempt to disperse protesters, injuring dozens.
Lebanon was swept up in protests last week over economic stagnation and corruption. The trigger was a raft of new taxes, also targeting WhatsApp calls, designed to tackle the country's high public debt.
